As a manager, accessing Chronicle via your browser may not always be possible and you may need to action something on the fly. With Chronicle, you can use our exciting Managers' App on a iOS or Android device to action various requests from your phone.
Features within the Chronicle Manager's App include:
- Viewing the current status of employees
- Managing and clearing exceptions
- Managing, creating and editing work records
- Managing and creating holiday, sick and absences
- Authorising overtime
- Fire reporting & roll call
- Light & dark mode compatible
To access the Chronicle Manager's App, you'll need to be assigned a licence to your user - Once applied, you'll be able to use the app with the same details as the Chronicle browser or mobile app.
Upon logging in, you'll be greeted with a quick overview of the day - You'll be shown how many employees are currently on-site, any lateness exceptions that have been raised against anyone as well as any holiday requests or overtime that is currently pending.
You can select any of these options to manage any holiday requests, exceptions or pending overtime, or use the menu by selecting the 3 lines in the top-left. You also have the ability to view the menu options along the bottom.
Live Status
Within the 'Live Status' area of Manager's App, you can action various processes. Initially, you'll be able to see all of the employees within the selected tag and their current status, including exceptions.
Selecting an employee will allow open an interface which will allow you to then see a brief overview of their current work record, clock them in or out, view the work record in more detail. You'll also see a calendar option which you can select to view their working pattern and look into a specific day.
Along with the above, you can also select 'Details' which can show you the employees:
- Address and contact details
- Next of Kin and their contact details
- Other details such as: Join date, date of birth, manager
- Entitlements (Holiday, Sick & Absence) - Taken and Remaining
- Payment Details
Within the 'Live Status' page, you also have the option to change what employees are displayed, you can do this using the filter in the top-right.
Holiday Authorise
By selecting the 'Holiday Requested' screen, you'll be shown any pending holiday requests that have been made by your employees and the date that has been requested.
You'll have the option to approve or decline the requests on an individual basis or, all at once.
Overtime Authorise
The 'Overtime Authorise' page works similar to the 'Holiday Authorise' screen - You'll be shown all instances of overtime that are currently pending against employees you have access to, to which you can then look to authorise or decline the overtime.
This screen will only allow you to authorise or decline the overtime - If a change of rate is required or this is to be authorised as TOIL, this would need to be through the main system.
Book Holiday/Sick/Absence
In some instances, you may need to book a holiday, sickness or absence for an employee - This can be done on the Managers' app instead of accessing your computer. By accessing this option via the menu in the top-left, you can choose the appropriate type of leave along the top and begin booking this for the employee.
Begin by searching for the employees name, selecting the type and duration. From there, you can choose the date range of the leave and select 'Send' which will put through the holiday, sick or absence.
Fire Reporting
Finally, on the Managers' app you can utilise it for fire reporting - This includes a fire roll call. By using this option through the menu, you'll see all the employees that are currently on-site.
In the event of a fire alarm and employees have evacuated to their safe point, a manager can use the app to mark employees as 'Safe'. Once done, you can select 'Save' and this will send the information through to Chronicle (via the browser).
Within your Chronicle environment, you'll then be able to see a report of this under 'Advanced Reports' > 'Fire' > 'Fire Reporting Managers App'.
