For employees to register a photo on the Chronicle Mobile App, it would first need to have this enabled against their user profile.
This is found within the settings via the cog in the top-right corner. Then, 'Organisation' then 'Users'. Double-click on a user and navigate to 'Mobile App Access' and ensure 'Enable facial recognition on clock-in' is ticked.
You can also tick 'Enable facial recognition', this will require the user to take a photo when logging into the app.
When the employee logs into the Chronicle Mobile App for the first time and attempts a clocking, they'll be prompted with the below message:
Selecting 'OK' will prompt the user to take their registered photo - This is the photo that following clocking attempts will be attempted to match against.
When taking the registered photo, we suggest the following:
- Face looking upwards, towards the camera.
- No other people or objects in the background.
- Chin out, eyes open and visible.
- Sufficient lighting over the face, avoid any shadows casted on/across the face.
- Entire face within the photo.
