A Terminal Group is a collection of Terminals that Employees are able to use. They are assigned at the employee level.
Firstly, to create a terminal group, you'd need to access the settings via the cog in the top-right corner then, navigate to 'Clocking Terminals'. From there, select the relevant option for the terminal(s) you have - either 'Terminal Groups' for Maximus' or 'GT/IT Terminal Groups' for GT or IT terminals.
To create a new terminal group, you'd simply select the green + button.
Name the terminal group appropriately, this could be 'Warehouse Terminals' for example. Then you would select the tick box to the left of the relevant terminal(s) for that group and click 'Save'.
You'd then need to ensure that the employee(s) are assigned to the correct terminal group. This can be done in a few different way - On an employee basis, or via the bulk editor.
To assign this on an employee basis, navigate to 'Employees' within the settings then 'Employees'. Search for and double-click on the relevant employee to load their employee record.
Within the 'Details' page, select the relevant terminal group within the 'Terminal Group' drop-down and click 'Save'.
You can also assign a terminal group to multiple employees at once. This is done by accessing the 'Bulk Editor' via 'Toolbox' along the top of Chronicle.
Once you have accessed the bulk editor, you can filter the 'Tag' on the left-hand side. Otherwise, scroll down the list and tick the employees you're looking to bulk assign to a group.
When they are all selected, locate the 'Terminal Group' drop-down beneath the table of employees (Found on the left-hand side, under the 'Update Employee Records' column).
Once the appropriate terminal group is selected, simply click 'Update' to assign this to all selected employees.
Employees assigned to a terminal group with then only be able to clock on the assigned terminals within that group.
