Chronicle Manager App provides fire reporting and real-time employee clocked statuses, along with overtime and holiday authorisation.
After creating a user (How to set up Manager App user – Chronicle Computing (zendesk.com)) and logging in you will see the Home page with several clickable buttons which will lead you to the corresponding tabs.
You can restrict access to the specific tags/departments in the app, by ticking desired boxes in the Access tab under the user profile.
When you create a Manager app user you will get access to the Manager App tab, in which you will be able to hide some settings from the user.
For example, Fire Marshal doesn't need to see the Live Status option or the ability to authorise holidays or overtime.

Another option is the Fire Reporting tag which gives the user access to one additional tag, hence seeing additional employees assigned to that tag.
Live Status
This tab provides real-time data, depending on the tag you choose you will see the corresponding employees for a day. You will see information about the activity, cost centre, start and end time.
The squares and triangles against the employee will indicate if the employee has clocked in, is on holiday or there is an exception.
Swiping left and right on the employee will show additional buttons:
- Details - where you can see all the basic information about the employee including address, next of kin, contact numbers, emails, managers, roster and title
- Clock In - where you can clock in the employee, effectively create a work record
- Clock Out - where you'll be able to clock-out an employee
- Work record - where you can edit the employee's work record and create a default shift
- Exceptions - where you can clear exceptions
Fire Reporting
In case of a fire alarm, the manager or fire marshal can mark employees as present by swiping their names and pressing the PRESENT button.
If an employee was incorrectly marked as present, swiping the other way will reveal the UNDO button, which will undo the previous action.
The buttons on the bottom are used to refresh and save the list.
You can filter employees by tags and cost centres.
When clicking the save icon, this will send the report through to Chronicle. You can find the details of this report within 'Advanced Reports' using the category of 'Fire' then 'Fire Reporting Managers App'.
Holiday Authorise
This feature allows the manager to authorise or decline holiday requests from employees assigned to the tags they have access to.
This can be done by swiping either left or right and clicking on the AUTHORISE or DECLINE button.
Overtime Authorise
This feature allows the manager to AUTHORISE, DECLINE, DELETE or TOIL overtime worked by employees.
Again, this can be done by swiping either left or right and clicking on the chosen button.
The manager will only see the overtime from the employees on tags they have access to.
You'll be able to see daily & weekly overtime that has been raised.
Book Holiday/Sick/Absence
The manager can book a holiday, sick or absence for an employee.
It can be done simply by typing and selecting an employee from the list, choosing the booking type, and duration.
Booking done by the manager will be automatically authorised.
