Within Chronicle, it is possible to integrate with your Outlook calendar so that your booked holidays, sickness and absences can be viewed alongside other commitments.
To enable this feature, the super user will need to enable this option within 'Company Settings' found within the 'Toolbox' drop-down.
Once enabled and a user has logged into their Self Service, you'll see a button along the top bar which shows 'Outlook'.
If this option is not showing - It would first need to be enabled within 'Company Settings'. This can only be access by the super user of your environment and is found within the 'Toolbox' drop-down.
Once enabled, to begin the set-up, hover over this button and select 'Sync Outlook'.
Upon selecting this, you'll be prompted with a message confirming that you're happy to re-direct to Microsoft and sign-in to authorise calendar access.
After selecting 'OK', you'll be taken to Microsoft in order to log-in. If you are already signed in, the process should automatically begin. Please note: This process can a few minutes to complete, refrain from refreshing or leaving the page where possible.
Once complete, you'll be redirected back to Chronicle where a confirmation message should appear showing that it has been done successfully.
After a successful integration, you should begin to see any booked holidays, bank holidays, sickness and absences pull through to your Outlook calendar.
When a new holiday is requested and accepted, it should then come through to your Outlook similar to a sickness or absence - This can take anywhere between 10 and 15 minutes to pull through.
