Within the Chronicle Employee App, you may be allowed to request holiday and absences. Below will be information about how you can put through these requests, check your entitlements as well as view any pending, authorised or declined requests.
Checking your entitlements
To check your entitlements within the Chronicle Employee App, once logged in select the 3 lines in the top-left, beside 'Home', then select 'Holidays/Absence'.
Here it'll display your current entitlements, including 'TOIL', 'Flexi-Leave' and any other custom holiday types within your company.
You'll also see a brief overview of just holiday, sickness and absence on the home screen below the clocking options.
Requesting a Holiday or Absence
To request a holiday or absence within the Chronicle Employee App, you can either select the 'Request Holiday' button below the clocking options then the 'Requests' tab or, open the menu in the top-left and choose 'Holidays/Absence' then 'Requests'.
Within this tab, you can choose between booking a 'Holiday' or 'Absence'.
You'd then select the 'Holiday Type'/'Absence Type' from the drop-down and then the 'Duration' of this request. Below these options will be a calendar for you to select the date(s).
On the calendar, you can select the Month/Year that is displayed in the top-left to quickly navigate to a different month, or press the year again to navigate to a year in the future.
Once the appropriate date(s) have been selected, simply click 'Send' to put through the request.
Checking your requests
Within this same area, you'll be able to check your requests and their current status by selecting the 'Status' tab.
Here you'll be able to see the date that was requested, the type of request it is and its current status. You'll also be able to cancel any requested or accepted instances by selecting the red bin.
If you had enabled 'Notification' permissions, when a holiday request is updated by a manager/admin, you'll receive a push notification letting you know what was actioned.
