The information above lets HMRC know who you are. Without these details, HMRC will not allocate the information to your account. These details would have been provided to you when you registered as an employer with HMRC. If you have not registered, please follow this link to do so: Register as an employer.
Government Gateway Credentials
User ID and password. This is the information you would normally use to sign into your online business account to view your PAYE details.
Without this information, you will NOT be able to submit your RTI's to HMRC.
Tax Settings
This is where you can select if you are eligible for small employers relief and the employment allowance. Please follow HMRC guidance to check if you are eligible for either of these as the schemes have been updated for 2020-21 tax year.
Small Employers Relief - Select if you are eligible or not eligible.
Employment Allowance - Select if you are eligible or not eligible.
If you are eligible, you need to select if you are economically active and choose all the sectors your business operates in. This will apply to most businesses.
The sectors are:

In Any Other Sector (Industries).
Once you have completed this, an Employer Payment Summary (EPS) will be generated for you to file with HMRC to inform them you are eligible.
Pay Run Frequency
Select how often you pay your employees. Chronicle Payroll supports all pay frequencies:

You need to set this before you make your first pay run.
Select the day you pay your employees.
If you pay on the same day every month, for example 25th, select On a Set Day and then choose 25.
