Cost centre - How to setup non-clocking location

This feature allows you to set up the Cost Centre with specific latitude and longitude coordinates, which won’t allow employees to clock at that location.

This can be used to prevent (for example drivers) from clocking from their homes.

Clocking IN or OUT, in that area will not create a work record and will raise an exception in the system.

To do this please follow the steps below:

• Go to Settings -> Organisation -> Cost centres -> Click on the green plus button to add a new Cost centre
  
  
• Fill out the name, for example, Employee's name House
  
  
• Assign a Cost Centre Group if applicable - this is used for grouping, for example, if you have 10 drivers, you may assign each of their houses to the Driver Houses Cost Centre Group.
  
  
• Get the Latitude and Longitude fields (You can locate these by using information on this guide: Longitudes, Latitudes and Ringfencing – Chronicle Computing)
  
  
• Enter in a Ringfence distance - this is used to define how far away an employee will have to be  from the given coordinates to clock in
  
  
• Tick the Non-clocking location box
  
  
• Hit Create button

• After the new Cost centre has been created, navigate to the employee profile and assign it to them
