Fixed Overtime is a way of paying employees at an enhanced rate when they work more than the contracted hours defined against the shift or, after a specified amount of hours.
This is set-up within a shift in your environment - To access your shifts, select the 'Settings' option in the bottom left of the home screen menu items, then 'Shifts & Rosters' and finally 'Shifts'.
Double-click on the shift you wish to add zoned overtime too and navigate to the 'Fixed Overtime' tab.
Looking at the example above, the fixed overtime rules have been set-up against a specific shift of 09:00 - 17:00. The rules defined are for overtime to be raised after contracted hours. It has also been defined that the first 3 hours of the overtime will be raised at 1.5x and following those 3 hours, 1 additional hour will raise at x2.0.
An explanation of each configurable option:
Overtime Starts After Contracted Hours - Overtime will begin after the defined contracted hours of the shift.
Overtime paid after - A definable amount of hours the overtime can be raised after, instead of contracted hours.
Duration - The length of time overtime will be raised for after what is defined within the above options.
Overtime Group - The Overtime Type, taken from a preconfigured list of 'Overtime Groups', set up by the user.
Authorised - Is the Overtime automatically authorised, or will a manager need to authorise the extra hours for payroll.
