When authorising overtime you can define a reason for why the overtime occurred. Some examples of this could be – rostering issue, faulty/broken machine, late stock delivery, last minute customer order etc.
To create overtime reasons, you'd first need to access the settings via the cog in the top-right corner. Then, 'Overtime Rules' into 'Overtime Reasons'.
To add a new overtime reason, simply select the green + button.
When creating a new overtime reason, you'd just need to enter a name of the reason and a sequence. The sequence is what order it'll display in via the drop-down menu within the work record.
The overtime reason can be allocated in the work record of an employee where overtime has been raised. To apply the overtime reason, select the grey triangle with a '!' in.
This will bring up a menu where you can select the relevant reason from the drop-down menu to apply this to that instance of overtime.
When a reason has been applied to the overtime, the triangle will show as blue.
Within the dashboard you'll be able to see a chart displaying the various overtime reasons so that at a quick glance, you can see why overtime is being paid.
