In 'Access Control Groups' a user can define what combination of doors and times a group of people can use to gain access with.
You can create/amend access control groups within the settings via the cog in the top-right corner.
From there, navigate to 'Access Control' then 'Access Control Groups'.
To add a new group, simply click the green + icon or, to amend an existing group double-click on the appropriate group to load the settings for it.
When the settings interface for setting up a new unit, or an existing unit appears. You'll be able to see/define the name of this group.
Below this, will be a table with all the available access control units within your environment. To apply a unit to this group, you'd simply tick the box on the left-hand side.
On the right-hand side, you'll see a drop-down of access times. This is where you can define the type of access times for that specific unit, within that group.
Custom access times can be defined within 'Access Control' then 'Access times'. More information about this can be found here: Access Times – Chronicle Computing
Please note: You can include or omit doors by ticking or not ticking 'Access ID'.
In most instances, you'll have either 'Full Access' or 'No Access'.
Once the access control group has been set-up with all the appropriate access/timings to the units applied, this would then need to be applied to the employee(s).
You can define this within the employee record, found within 'Employees' then 'Employees' within the settings or, by double-clicking on an individuals name within the 'Live Data' or 'Attendance' screens.
You can also apply the appropriate access group to multiple employees at once using the 'Bulk Editor'. This is found within 'Toolbox' along the top of your Chronicle environment.
Once there, within the table of employees you can select all that apply and find the 'Access Group' below the table on the left-hand side.
Once the group has been selected, click 'Update' and this will apply to all employees that were selected.
