The 'Portals' section of 'Access Control' is what ties together the access control readers and door controllers together.
To add/amend a portal you'd need to access this within the settings via the cog in the top-right corner. Then, 'Access Control' on the left-hand side then 'Portals'.
This would require the readers to be set-up already - More information about this can be found here: Readers – Chronicle Computing
To add a new portal, simply select the green + button or, to amend an existing one, double-click on the line that includes the access control unit you'd make the change to.
There are various options within the settings interface of a portal:
Name – This would be the name of that door/area.
Access Control Unit – Is the ‘unit name’ that is controlling the blade, readers and stores the access levels and times.
Blade - This is the device in the access control unit that controls the ‘readers’.
Normal unlock period - This is the amount of seconds that the door unlocks for.
Strike lock - This is an alternative type of lock as opposed to the magnet lock that is primarily used.
Reader Entry - This is the entry reader that would have been defined previously within 'Readers'
Reader Exit - This is the exit reader that would have been defined previously within 'Readers'
Normally open - This would mean that the door is normally unlocked
Unlock access times - This is where you can define specific timings that the door is accessible. This is done within 'Access Control Times'.
Fire group - This is where you can define the specific 'fire group' for this reader.
