When authorising overtime you can define a reason for why the overtime occurred. Some examples of this could be – rostering issue, faulty/broken machine, late stock delivery, last minute customer order etc.
Overtime reasons can be added by clicking 'Settings', 'Overtime Rules' and finally 'Overtime Reasons'.
Creating Overtime Reasons
Within the 'Overtime Reason' screen, select the orange 'Create Overtime Reason'.
Name - This will be what the 'overtime reason' is, for example "Rostering Issue".
Sequence - This should follow suite against the other overtime reasons created, it will be where it appears in the list.
Using Overtime Reasons
To make use of the overtime reasons, you can apply this against any instance of overtime that has raised within a work record by selecting the grey triangle with a '!' inside.
By selecting this option on the overtime, it will bring up an interface which you can then select the appropriate reason for this overtime.
Once an overtime reason has been applied, the grey triangle will turn blue.
With reasons against overtime applied, you can track reasons for overtime on the dashboard within the 'Daily Overtime Reasons' area.
