Overtime rules are a set of rules you can design to ensure overtime raises against work records appropriately, these are usually used for weekly overtime rules but have further customisation that can be applied to generate overtime in the way you expect.
Overtime rules are applied to a roster to take affect.
To locate existing or create new overtime rules, access the 'Settings' via the option in the bottom-left, then 'Overtime Rules' and 'Overtime Rules' again.
Creating an Overtime Rule
To begin creating an overtime rule, whilst within this page select the orange 'Add Overtime Rule' option.
Name - This would be the name of the overtime rule, such as '40+ Hours'.
Overtime type - You'll have the options of either 'weekly', 'monthly' or 'custom'.
Start of week - This will be the day of the week where the overtime will start raising from.
Basic hours - This is where you can define the rate of the 'Basic hours' (If this is not required, it can be left blank).
Overtime starts after contracted - You'd enable this if overtime is due to be raised after the contracted hours for that week/month (This is calculated via the 'Contracted Hours' of the shift(s) within the roster).
Overtime paid after - This is where you can define the amount of hours that needs to be worked before overtime is raised, if not after contracted hours.
Duration - This is how much overtime can be raised in total once the requirements have been met.
Overtime rule - This would be the 'rate' in which the overtime is raised as.
Authorised - With this enabled, the 'Basic hours' or overtime that is raised will come through automatically authorised rather than pending.
With the overtime type of 'Custom' selected, the interface changes slightly.
Similar settings do apply such as the 'Overtime starts after contracted/paid after' however with a custom rule, it will allow you to define a specific overtime rule to each day of the week.
It would also allow you to define a 'Custom Type' which can be either 'Weekly', 'Fortnightly' or 'Monthly'.
Once all the information has been defined, select 'Save' against the overtime rule.
Applying the Overtime Rule
With the relevant overtime rules created, these would then need to be applied. An overtime rule gets applied to a roster. To action this, navigate to 'Shifts and Rosters' on the left-hand side, then 'Rosters'.
Locate the appropriate roster and double-click on it. Within this interface, select the 'Overtime' tab. Within the drop-down, select the correct overtime rule that applies to this roster.
