A terminal group is, as the name suggests, a group of terminals.
If a terminal belongs to a group to which an employee has been assigned, AND that employee has been downloaded to that terminal, the employee will be able to use that terminal to clock in and out.
Employees must be downloaded onto each terminal within the group to be able to clock on on all terminals in the group. If there are two terminals in a group. terminal A and terminal B, and an employee is assigned to the group but downloaded only onto terminal A, that employee will not be able to clock in and out on terminal B.
For a guide to downloading employees to terminals, please see V2 - How to download employees to a GT8 terminal – Chronicle Computing
