Employee activity rates within Chronicle is a feature will which enable you to assign a specific rate to an activity, that applies to a specific employee.
This could mean for example, if an employee gets paid extra for repairing machinery in the warehouse, you could set up a rate against that activity for that employee specifically which when hours are clocked against it, it will raise at the specified rate.
Employee activity rates can be created or amended using the 'Settings' option in the bottom-left of the home screen menu items and then 'Employees' into 'Employee Activity Rates'.

Activity - This will be where you'd select the specific activity, this must already be set-up within your environment. To add new activities, see this guide: V2 - Activities – Chronicle Computing
Employee - This is where you'll define the specific employee that this rate applies too.
Rate - This is where you'll define the amount that will apply as the hourly rate for the select employee when hours are worked on the selected activity.
With the relevant information defined, select 'Save' to finish.
Applying Employee Activity Rates
In order for this functionality to work, the employee must be defined to be paid based on 'Activity'. To enable this, locate the employee record that you had created the activity rate for and access the 'Payroll' tab.
Within the 'Payroll' tab, under the 'Pay Type' drop-down, define this as 'Activity'.
Now, whenever the employee works on the specified activity, the 'Rate' that was defined will pull through onto the work record and any respective reports that include activity work.
