In Chronicle you can create custom holiday types. This allows more flexibility on holiday rules, as making different holiday type can have different rules, for example, if it is paid, if it can count towards overtime.
- Click on the setting icon in the top right corner
- Click on the “Holiday, Sick and Absence” drop down
- Click on the “Holidays” option
- To create a new holiday Click on the green plus.
- Give the holiday type a name, for example 'Christmas Shutdown'.
- The limit option allows you to limit how much entitlement can be accrued.
- The paid option defines if the holiday type is paid/unpaid
- The allow negative option defines if the type goes towards entitlement.
- The count towards overtime option allows the holiday to count towards any overtime rules set.
- The position field allows you to set where the holiday type appears in dropdowns and entitlements in the employee record.
- Entitlement counts towards holiday type can take entitlement from other holiday types.
Once created employees on the system can request that holiday type.
