In Chronicle you can create custom sick and absence types.
- Go to the setting icon in the top right.
- Click on the “Holiday, Sick and Absence” drop down.
- Click on either the “Absence” option or “Sickness” option (depending on what you need to create).
- Click the green plus.
For Absence:
- Name the absence type for example ‘Maternity Leave’.
- The paid option defines if the absence is paid or unpaid.
- The allow negative option defines if the type goes towards entitlement.
- The count towards overtime option allows the absence to count towards any overtime rules set.
For Sickness:
- Name the sickness type for example ‘Stomach Ache’.
- The paid option defines if the absence is paid or unpaid.
- The allow negative option defines if the type goes towards entitlement.
- The count towards overtime option allows the absence to count towards any overtime rules set.
- “Counts towards Bradford factor” is an option that allows the system to do the Bradford formula on this sickness (more about the Bradford factor in this link)
Click create to save the absence or sick type. This can then be booked in by a manager or system administrator when required.
