Within Chronicle, there are some features which can be applied that are company-wide. The features found within company settings can change how Chronicle works towards how your business functions.
The 'Company Settings' option is only accessible by the super user of your environment. It can be found within the 'Toolbox' menu item on the left-hand side.

Budget Plan
With this feature, you can set your budget plan to be either 'Basic' or 'Advanced'.

Holiday, Sick & Absence Start of Year
This section will allow you to define the 'Start of Year' for holiday, sick and absence. This will be the date everything such as entitlement will reset.
When entering a date it is MMDD for example, April 1st will be entered as 0401.
Instead of a specific date, you can instead enable the 'Is X from join date' option, which instead of resetting on the specified date, it will instead do so on the employees join date.
Annualised Hours Start of Year
This section will allow you to define the 'Start of Year' for any annualised hours that have been set-up against employees.
When entering a date it is MMDD for example, April 1st will be entered as 0401.

Hourly Entitlement in Hours and Minutes
Enabling this option will mean that if an employee has their entitlement set to be in hours it will display within the 'Entitlements' tab of their employee record as HH:MM instead of the decimals.
This will display in the employee record like so:
Start of Week
This section will allow you to define which day the week begins with within your Chronicle environment. This will change screens that display records on a weekly basis so that the day defined is first.
When applied, the 'Timesheet' screen will display like so:
52 Week Accrual Calculation
This will be where you can define a specific percentage for the 52 week accrual calculation, this by default is 12.07%.
Average Holiday Pay
With this option enabled, average holiday pay will apply within your environment.
TOIL Break Deductions
With this option enabled, when an employee books TOIL, it will take any breaks within that timeframe into consideration.
Time Zone & Region
This is where you can define the companies preferred time zone and region. The region is primarily for anything that is currency related.
Additional Options

Location Services - This allows for location tracking on the Chronicle Mobile App, allowing you to also view the location of a clocking action via an employee record under 'Real Clockings'.

Barcode Scanner for Cost Centre - This feature will allow employees to scan a barcode which has been associated with a cost centre in your environment, rather than using the 'Change Cost Centre' functionality.

Two Factor Authentication - With this enabled, will prompt employees upon logging into via a browser to set-up two factor authentication for a more secure method of logging in. More information regarding this can be found here: {2FA Knowledge Guides}

Hide Job Title - With this enabled, job titles will be hidden on the 'Attendance' screen.

Hide Custom Holidays - With this enabled, any additional custom holidays that are created will be hidden from the various booking methods throughout Chronicle.

Apply SSP Rules - With this enabled, SSP rules will apply within your environment. More information regarding SSP can be found here: {SSP Setup and Information KA}

Enable Facial Recognition Spot Check - Enabling this option display a new icon against mobile app clocking's within the 'Real Clockings'. Allowing you to see the photo that was captured to ensure this is not being spoofed. More details can be found here: {Spot Check KA}

Enable Lock on Tablet - Applying this will allow you to "lock" the tablet with a PIN (set below), preventing employee access to the settings.

Tablet Lock PIN - This is where you'll set the PIN for the lock on the tablet. More details can be found here: {Lock on Tablet KA}

Show Employee Pictures - With this enabled, employee photos will be visible across various screens within Chronicle.

Block Clocking from outside Cost Centres - With this enabled, clockings attempted outside of the defined cost centres within your environment will be blocked. Cost Centre Selection on Clock IN - With this option enabled, if the employees clocking location is within 2 cost centres, it'll prompt them to choose between the locations that they are within. More details can be found here: {Cost Centre Selection KA}

Default Documents to Sensitive - With this enabled, any documents that are uploaded against an employee record will default as 'sensitive' documents.

Shifts to Tag Assignment - With this enabled, you'll be able to assign shift(s) to various tags, allowing them only to be seen if you're within the selected tag. More details can be found here: {Shifts to Tag Assignment KA}

Entitlements for Future Years - Enabling this will allow you to see the entitlements for future years within the 'Entitlements' in an employee record. More details can be found here: {Previous/Future Year Entitlements KA}

Full Month on Timesheets - Enabling this will display a full month on the 'Timesheet' screen instead of a week.

Password Policy Type - This is where you can set a password policy. This can either be; Basic, Intermediate or Advanced. More details about this can be found here: {Password Policy KA}

Integrations
Chronicle has various integrations with different software - In most cases, these will be enabled upon purchase and will not need to be changed by yourself.
