Whilst 'Location Services' is enabled within your environment and employees clock on their smart phone, this location will be picked up and brought over to the 'Real Clockings' of their work record.
Chronicle does not constantly track the employee's location - it is only retrieved when the clock IN or OUT button is selected.
If the 'Location Unauthorised' or 'Clocked at non-clocking location' exception is raised or, if you're looking to view an employees clocking location. This can be done by accessing their work record. To access a work record, visit 'Live Data' or 'Attendance' and locate the employee and double-click on the day you're looking to view the clocking location for.
Within the work record, on the right-hand side under 'Real Clockings' you'll be able to see the date/time and type of clock. You'll also be able to see a blue location pin which upon selecting will load Google maps, showing you the pin-point location of where this was actioned.
Using this, you'll be able to check whether an employee is trying to trick the system by clocking in at home, down the road from the office, or even clocking out late at home, or at the pub!
