Zoned Rounding is used to move your employee's clocking records forwards and backwards, across specific time periods. These rules are set up within the shift settings under 'Zoned Rounding'.
Using the example above, we have some zoned rounding in place which will do the following:
17:00 - 17:30 Back
This rule is telling the system to move any clocking record, processed between 17:00 and 17:30, back to 17:00.
Please note: When actioning a backwards clocking, it will always begin with the lower time.
08:30 - 09:00 Forward
This rule is telling the system to move any clocking record processed between 08:30 and 09:00 forward to 09:00.
An example scenario using this would be:
- Employee clocks in at 08:40
- System rounds this clock in to 09:00
- Employee clocks out at 17:25
- System rounds this clocking to 17:00
Clocking's outside the define timeframe will appear at the time it was actioned and no rounding will apply.
This adjustment to the record, only affects the Employee's Working Record and is useful for Payroll Reporting and more. The REAL clocking record of the employee will still be recorded and used to determine if the employee is on/offsite for Fire Reporting and and more.
