Job and Finish means any shift can be rounded up to its defined finish time - regardless as to how many hours an employee has actually worked.
To set this up, you'd need to follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the settings and select 'Organisation' then 'Activities'. From there, select the green + and enter the relevant details.
2. Once the activity has been created, access the shift this will apply to via 'Shifts & Rosters' then 'Shifts'. Search for the shift and double-click into this. Then select the 'Point Rounding' tab.
Within this section, ensure 'Use job and finish' is ticked along with the activity being the one you have just created.
Using just this option, will generate the amount of hours based on the contracted hours of the shift.
- Enable 'Do not exceed shift end' for this to finish the work record at the shifts' end time.
3. When an employee works this shift, it'll show on their work record it'll show a system generated record by Chronicle Computing filling in the relevant times of the shift, using the Job and Finish activity that was created.
The below is without 'Do not exceed shift end' selected.
(The shifts' start/end times are 15:50 & 17:00, Contracted: 01:40)
The below is with 'Do not exceed shift end' selected.
(The shifts' start/end times are 15:40 & 17:00, Contracted: 01:40)
As you can see, it has increased the duration to the defined contracted hours.
