Auto Clocking is a useful feature for businesses that shut down at predetermined times or ca be used for employees that are not expected to clock in or out. It is used in order to create Clocking Records for individuals or large groups of employees.
This is a rarely used feature and must be used with caution - If an employee is clocked in by the system but has not turned up for the day, the data is jeopardised and may cause issues from a Health and Safety perspective.
Auto clocking is set-up on a shift basis. To create auto clocking on a shift, you'd first navigate to the settings via the cog in the top-right corner then, 'Shifts & Rosters', 'Shifts' and double-clicking on the desired shift.
One within the details of the desired shift, navigate to 'Auto Clocking'.
You can enable this for various functions such as clock in, start & end break and clock out. To do so, you'd select the enable tick box.
From there, you'd define the timings of the auto clocking. You would first define the time that the system will generate the clocking for and then the time it'll generate if the employee hasn't clocked.
For example, a regular 09:00 - 17:00 shift with auto-clocking functionality defined may look something like the below:
This will then generate a 'Real Clocking' on the work record for any employee that is assigned to that shift. It'll display 'System' as the method of clocking.
